The IFAD assisted “Women Empowerment and Livelihood Programme in Mid Gangetic Plains” called as Comprehensive training of the staff of banks, NGOs and government agencies is the key to collaborative partnership of these agencies, and this exercise includes designing of course modules oriented towards a wide range of target audience. Suitable reading material and training aids are developed and updated periodically. The programmes are regularly evaluated to help modify their contents.
During 2010-11, NABARD scaled up its efforts towards providing financial and technical support for training of staff of banks, NGOs and government agencies to induct them into the linkage programme and further enhance their effectiveness in mF. NABARD supported the conduct of following training programmes during 2010-11 and 26,60,818 trainees have been trained upto 31 March 2011.
