The access to market is the most important link for success of any enterprise whether large, small or micro, whether it is situated in rural or urban area. Recognising the imporatnce of marketing, NABARD has been facilitating a number of marketing interventions for marketing of Rural Nonfarm products. These include, promoting use of the artisan products within NABARD and among other agencies, capacity building of artisans and entrepreneurs in marketing aspects , buyer seller meets, exposure visits and organisation of exhibitions etc.,
With the objective of providing the rural artisans and entrepreneurs access to urban and upcountry markets , products of few artisans supported by NABARD under its various promotional programmes are displayed alonwith the contact addresses . These artisans had participated in an exclusive marketing event "NABARD Utsav" organised by NABARD at Dilli haat during 01 - 15 March 2004 . We hope the visitors to the site will appreciate and facilitate marketing of these handicrafts and artifacts from the villages of India and encourage the artisans, many of whom are women. Let us contribute to sustainable livelihoods of these artisans and be a part of the process of empowering them.
