NABARD to host Asia-Pacific Rural and Agricultural Credit Forum
NABARD to host an Asia-Pacific Rural and Agricultural Credit Forum in New Delhi on 16 & 17 December 2017

Mumbai, December 12, 2017: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), the Development Bank for Rural India, will host a meeting of Asia-Pacific Rural and Agricultural Credit Association in New Delhi on 16th and 17th December 2017 at Hotel Shangri – La.
Shri. Arun Jaitley, Hon. Union Finance Minister will inaugurate the meeting and an international seminar on Rural and Agricultural Finance.
This Forum is jointly organized by NABARD and Asia-Pacific Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (APRACA), a regional association of Asia-Pacific countries that promotes cooperation, mutual exchange and expertise in the field of rural finance.
The Policy Forum will deliberate on ‘Rural and Agricultural Finance to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals’. It will discuss key topics like ‘Rural and agricultural entrepreneurship as driver to efficient agricultural value chains’, ‘Leveraging ICT to mitigate risks in financing to agricultural activities’ and ‘Issues and challenges of promoting rural and agriculture finance and markets’.
More than 80 international participants from the APRACA member institutions from 21 countries and about 40 participants from India will participate in the forum. These representations are expected from the Central Banks, Development Banks, Commercial Banks, Microfinance Institutions, International multilateral and Bilateral agencies, Technology providers and Educational and Research institutions from across Asia-Pacific.
