Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin (SBM-G)
SBM-G was launched with effect from 2nd October 2019 with the goal to achieve universal sanitation coverage in rural areas by 2nd October 2019.
The nodal Ministry for SBM-G is the Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation (MoDW&S) {Now, Ministry of Jalshakti}. As per MoDW&S estimation, around 3 crore individual household toilets, 1500 community sanitary complexes and Solid and Liquid Resource management works were to be taken up during 2018-19; for which Central share fund requirement was assessed at Rs.30,343 crore. Out of this, Rs.15,000 cr was to be met through borrowings from NABARD.  
As on 30 June 2019, an amount of Rs.15,000 crore has been sanctioned by NABARD to National Centre for Drinking Water, Sanitation and Quality(NCDWS&Q) for part funding of central share under SBM-G against which an aggregate amount of Rs.8698 crore has been disbursed. 
This has facilitated construction of 2.24 crore household toilets during 2018-19.
