Khaw Tai (KhamtiRice)

The agricultural diversity of Arunachal Pradesh is best reflected in the unique rice variety known as Khaw Tai, which is farmed by Khamti tribal farmers in the state's mid-eastern foothills. Khaw Tai rice is classified as a short-grain, powerful rice in Class 31 and is recognized by its potent scent, sweet flavor, and white hue.

The produce

The unique qualities of Khaw Tai rice, such as its nutritional value, germination rates, shoot and root measurements, and seed vigour, all add to its significance in the development and breeding of rice. Beyond its culinary applications, Khaw Tai rice has a long history of being used as a dietary supplement under difficult circumstances.
