The Sundarja mango is a unique variety since it has no fibre and a sugar type that is safe for even those with diabetes to eat. This variety grows in abundance in Govindgarh town of Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh.

The produce

The Govindgarh orchards produce light-coloured Sundarja mangoes. The fact that a postal stamp with the name of the Sundarja mango was released in 1968 is further indicator of its popularity. This mango keeps well for a long time.
