THE SOLUTION

• Construction of the Baluahaghat Mega Bridge in Saharsa district with financial support from NABARD under RIDF
• Appropriate utilisation ensured direct payments to drip manufacturers

THE IMPACT

• Improvement in school attendance
• Travel distance between Saharsa and Darbhanga reduced to 65km from the earlier 245km
• Easy access to primary health centres
• Significant improvement in the law-and-order situation in the area
• Enhanced mobility has led to economic prosperit
