• Poor germination of seeds in winters due to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and two-feet-deep snow

THE SOLUTION

• NABARD facilitated the setting up of 6 poly houses with drip irrigation and a complete climate control structure
• A demonstrative effect for Farmers Clubs was created in these blocks

THE IMPACT

• Controlled climatic conditions that allow cultivation of a variety of crops all year round
• Insect and pathogen hacks prevented by regular monitoring of water, temperature and soil conditions
• Farmers of the area are now investing in poly houses as a result of the demonstrative effect
