• Lack of regular and smooth banking services
• Absence of technology in PACS and DCCBs

THE SOLUTION

• NABARD sanctioned a project to the South Canara DCCB Ltd and linked the accounts of PACS members with DCCB accounts
• PACS continued to disburse loans to farmers since accounts were maintained at both, DCCB and PACS levels
• Farmers were enabled to use RUPAY KCC/ debit cards

THE IMPACT

• Financial inclusion with higher credit off-take
• Ease and transparency in banking services
• Installation of micro-ATMs in PACS
