THE SOLUTION
NABARD roped in the Rewari District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) to form JLGs
Loans of Rs 30,000 each were provided to JLG members for adopting livelihood options of their choice
Constant follow-up and support was extended by both NABARD and DCCB in the early days
THE IMPACT
Increase in the monthly income of women – in the range Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000
Loans have benefitted other family members as well
Establishment of small-scale business units
Visible sense of purpose among women beneficiaries
