THE SOLUTION
Concrete or stone hives for underground beekeeping was introduced by NABARD
A honey processing unit with a 50 kg capacity was constructed and 60 traditional beekeepers were trained to operate it
THE IMPACT
A 1,000 improved underground hives constructed by beekeepers
Improved collection, storage, bottling and packaging of organic honey
Production of 3 tonnes of honey of great market value
Annual income of ? 12 lakh generated from honey alone
