NABARD mobilises resources to meet bank’s fund requirements through a mix of instruments of various types and tenures. In the Bonds category, four types of bonds have been issued to retail investors, viz. Capital Gains Bonds, NABARD Rural Bonds, Bhavishya Nirman Bonds and Tax-Free Bonds by Finance Department, NABARD, Mumbai.
Finance Department-Retail Section is currently servicing redemption of Bhavishya Nirman Bonds & payment of annual interest for Tax Free Bonds, which are listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
At present, there is no issue on tap from NABARD for the retail investors
IDBI Trusteeship Services Ltd is the debenture trustee for Bhavishya Nirman Bonds. For tax-free bonds issued in 2015-16, Axis Trustee Services Ltd is the Debenture Trustee.
UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited is the Registrar and Transfer Agent for our Capital Gain Bonds, NABARD Rural Bonds and Bhavishya Nirman Bonds.
Link in Time India Limited is the Registrar and Transfer Agent for Tax Free Bonds.
Bonds, Certificate of Deposits and Commercial Papers are issued from time to time by obtaining ratings and complying with the regulatory requirements. Credit ratings are obtained from CRISIL, ICRA and India Rating. Similarly, ratings were obtained for issue of bonds from the Credit Rating Agencies.
