SFP 2023-24 For NABARD Manipur Released For Priority Sector

Governor La Ganesan released the SFP during the inaugural of the Manipur State Credit Seminar of NABARD held on Thursday at Hotel Imphal

Manipur recorded a total credit potential of Rs 2,59,902.74 lakh for priority sector activities, state focus paper (SFP) 2023-24 for NABARD reported

Of the total outlined credit potential, for the agriculture sector, the total credit potential estimated is Rs 1,42,577.40 lakh, meanwhile for MSME, it is Rs 71,302.52 lakh and for other priority sectors is Rs 46,022.82 lakh.

As per, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), the SFP will give inter-alia, a comprehensive insight into the potential available in the state for growth of priority sector. It will help to bring out the sectoral requirement for financing by banks and identifies critical loopholes in infrastructure and support services-- mainly used by bankers, state governments and other agencies to structure the plan's efforts for the development of the state

Governor La Ganesan released the SFP during the inaugural of the Manipur State Credit Seminar of NABARD held on Thursday at Hotel Imphal.

Ganesan said that he is hoping to achieve the target of an annual SFP Rs 2,5999.03 crore under the priority sector.

The NABARD mission aims to promote sustainable and equitable agriculture and rural development through participative financial and non-financial interventions, innovations, technology and institutional development for security prosperity
