Skilled includes: own business, driver, govt / pvt job, tailoring/weaving, sales
Figure 4 reveals that both in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka the household head, which is
predominantly the male member, is engaged in unskilled work as compared to skilled
work. However, the gap between the same is rather less. It is worthwhile investigating
the average income in these two categories too.
