Agartala, November 16, 2022: The Tripura Regional Office of NABARD conducted a meeting with bankers to discuss strategy to be adopted for increasing finance primarily in Agri and Allied sectors as well as increase Ground Level Credit in Priority sector on November 14 and 15 last.

GM/OIC of NABARD Loken Das, DGM, Convener of SLBC Tripura Anand Kumar, MD of TSCB Bhajan Chandra Ray, Chairman of TGB Satyendra Singh, DGM of NABARD Anil Purohit, senior bank officials from banks and officials of NABARD, Tripura Regional Office participated in the meeting.

NABARD District Development Managers were also present to have dialogue with bankers for increasing Agri credit flow in the district.

General Manager / OIC of NABARD Loken Das guided the meeting with focus on ways to increase financing primarily in the Agri & Allied Sector and also increase Ground Level Credit in priority Sectors. GM of NABARD urged banks to cover more farmers under Kisan Credit Card not only under Crop Loan but also in Animal Husbandry and Fishery and to increase lending through JLG and SHG mode.

He emphasized to finance more crop loans as well as agriculture term loans. NABARD support for Agri Skill Development, Entrepreneurship Development, PACS as Multi Service Societies’ in view of government of India emphasis on Cooperatives were also discussed.
