Shri J C Ramthanga, is an IAS officer of 1989 batch of Manipur Cadre, currently on intercadre deputation to Mizoram. He has considerable field experience in development administration. His passion has been people-centric development innovations and interventions. Shri Ramthanga is presently Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister of Mizoram. He has also served as Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur and Tamenglong districts of Manipur.

He has done his post graduation in History. He has worked in different capacities in several departments of Government of Manipur and Mizoram over the years. He is presently heading departments of Public Works, Horticulture, General Administration and Secretariat Administration, Government of Mizoram.
