Shri Devesh Chaturvedi is an IAS officer of the 1989 batch from Uttar Pradesh Cadre. He is an M.Tech. (Industrial Engineering) from IIT, Delhi and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Policy and Management, IIM, Bengaluru and PhD in Diagnostic Study on Performance Management in Government form IIT, Delhi.

Prior to being appointed as Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India. Shri Devesh Chaturvedi has held several protfolios like District Magistrate of Pithoragarh, Deoria, Bulandshahar, Kanpur Dehat, Gorakhpur and Allahabad, Commissioner of Allahabad Division managing the Kumbh Mela, 2013, Director and Additional Director General in tourism in Government of India, Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India handling Services, Vigilance & International Cooperation and worked as Principal Secretary/Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture) and Appointments & Personnel in Government of Uttar Pradesh.
